Will the Nuggets hire a coach today?
The Nuggets fired George Karl after a 57 win season. It’s very possible, if not likely, that today they will hire a fellow who was fired after a 56 win season. The Memphis Grizzlies opted not to renew the contract of their head coach, Lionel Hollins, who interviewed with Denver yesterday.
Ironically, George Karl is set to interview for a second time with Hollins’ old team.
Might the Nuggets and Grizzlies simply swap coaches? It seems pretty likely, you guys. The NBA coaching carousel has never been weirder than it is right now. Nobody will be surprised if Karl takes over the Grizz while Hollins moves in to coach the Nuggets.
Hollins was spotted in Denver last night, catching a high school basketball game with Nuggets brass.
