Why does Twitter hate Drew Soicher?

Drew Soicher is my wife’s favorite sports anchor. I told her one night that people panned him all the time on Twitter and she was flabbergasted. “How can anybody not like Drew Soicher?”, she aked with a puzzled look. “I don’t know, honey”, I replied, knowing full well that Soicher’s “shtick” is not embraced universally among Denver Sports fans.
Soicher has several routines that expose him to criticism. First, there’s “Drew’s Clues”, the cutesy little quiz thing that Soicher does on his broadcasts on and Twitter. It’s cool – but people make fun it, anyway.
Speaking of Twitter, Drew refers to his presence there as “Soichal Media”. Clever – but people make fun of it, anyway.
Then there’s Drew’s thing for bobble-head dolls. He collects them – and his headshot is an illustration of him in bobble-head form. It’s cute – but people make fun of it anyway.
Let’s not forget that Drew goes to the Denver Zoo each week to have a seal pick Broncos game. It’s totally toungue-in-cheek but, since it’s Drew Soicher, people make fun of it anyway.
Soicher’s also famous for misprouncing the names of athletes, like CSU’s own Joel Dreessen who now playes for the Broncos. Drew referred to him as “Dress-in” during post-game coverage a couple weeks ago. People really made fun of that.
By “people” I am, of course, referring to people on Twitter. Twitter hates Drew Soicher. Here are a couple examples of recent Tweets on the famous “Soichal Media” service:

These Tweets really only scratch the surface. And scratching the suface is all I can do because Soicher blocked my account. I cannot imagine why he would have done that.
