The Denver Broncos have their man … again. The team’s third head coach in four seasons is former Miami Dolphins’ defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. And he has Colorado ties. Joseph attended the University of Colorado where he played both quarterback and running back between 1990 and 1995 before a brief and unsuccessful playing career in the NFL.
Joseph returned to Colorado as a graduate assistant to the Buffaloes 1999-2001, left for the University of Wyoming and then returned once again to serve as CU’s defensive backs coach for two years under Gary Barnett. It was during that stint, from 2002 to 2003 that Joseph cemented his reputation as a legendary cocksman.
According to a recently-recirculated 2005 article from Colorado Daily Joseph was placed on paid administrative leave in April of 2004 for his involvement in an alleged sexual harassment incident at the university. That incident? Consensual hot steam-room boning with a female athletic trainer.
It’s the stuff of a letter to Penthouse Forum but it gets better.
Joseph also allegedly left a Boulder bar with not one but two fit young trainers during the same time period.
And what a time period it was! It was a dark era for the University of Colorado and Vance Joseph was a part of it. Clearly, no criminal charges were ever filed and Joseph was never accused of anything more than abusing his position as an assistant coach while luring some lurid tail. Oh, and he was married at the time; with a daughter.
I bring this up primarily because it’s a story that will be quickly buried by the local media outlets who suck at the teet of the Broncos, namely the Denver Post, KOA, the FAN and the TV Network affiliates. I bring it up secondarily because it’s hot. You go, Vance Joseph, Master Cocksman, you go! And Go Broncos!
