The Rockies look even dumber now.
No decision regarding Jim Tracy’s future as the Manager of the Colorado Rockies will be made until Monday at the earliest.
Somehow, after the worst season in franchise history – worse even than the inaugural season, when a cobbled-together expansion team debuted at Mile High Stadium, the people running the Rockies appear not to know what to do.
It’s not complicated.
They lost 98 games, for God’s sake. They need to fire people.
Jim Tracy can take his optimism and long-winded explanations for his team’s ineptness and go somewhere where they don’t care about winning. Dan O’Dowd can take his pitiful, altitude-fearing ass down to sea level where he can get something done and quit casting a shadow over the Rockies franchise.
The situation is seen by the Monforts as more complicated than that. That’s why they suck. Any owner with a set of balls would be insanely furious right now. Heads would be rolling all over the place. There wouldn’t be negotiations. There would be nothing to consider but how to get better right away.
The Rockies were terrible in 2012, but they look even worse now. They look indecisive and weak. The message they are sending to fans is” “we are going to be just as bad next year”.
