The Nuggets would “Love” to trade for Kevin but don’t hold your breath
Minnesota Timberwolves star forward Kevin Love has made it no secret that he wants out. Love hasn’t even discussed attempting to arrange a contract extension with his current team but he has been rumored to have chatted with several others.
Chances are he wants to end up on a major market team with a chance at winning a championship – a team like the Chicago Bulls. Love can’t decide where he will be traded but he can refuse to extend his deal which only has one year left on it.
Rumors are flying that your Denver Nuggets have made the Wolves a “significant” offer for their superstar but the jury is out on whether or not they could hang onto him beyond one season. It’s tough to see KSE making a play for him if they can’t lock him up long term. Andre Iguodala came to town, made some noise for one season and then bailed. The last thing the Nuggets need is another situation like that one.
The last thing Kevin Love wants is to go to another also-ran team like the Nuggets to stay. Since it’s highly doubtful that he would commit to Denver for the long term fans should not get too excited by the trade rumors.
