It was Tim Tebow’s first appearance court-side at a Nuggets game this season. He didn’t get the job done.
The Denver Nuggets fell to Chauncey B-B-Billups and the L.A. Clippers at Pepsi Center, 105-109.
Denver held a lead entering the fourth quarter but saw it washed away by bad possessions late.
Where was Tim?
Isn’t the fourth quarter his time to shine?
Had the Nuggets pulled out the victory we would be giving Tim all the credit this morning. But they didn’t. So we’ll give him all the blame.
After Tebow was led to his folding chair by security, Chauncey approached him and the two Denver heroes played a game of gangster paddy-cake, slapping each other five and engaging in secret hand-shakes.
Tebow greeted none of the current Nuggets players in the same manner.
It was Chauncey’s night and Tebow is clearly to blame, as Billups was the game’s top scorer. He had all the Tebow juice.
Super Mascot, Rocky, tried to ride the Tebow train, requesting vibes from the quarterback prior to attempting his famous backwards half-court shots during the third period. But Tebow’s magic Jesus powers had all rubbed off of Chauncey. It was too late.
We expect more from our stars.
From now on, Tim needs to save that magic for Denver players. He’s one of us now, that back-stabber.
We won’t hold it against him that he wasn’t watching the NFL Pro-Bowl last night. Hell, hardly anybody was. But, if he wasn’t busy practicing with a harem of top quarterback coaches, he should at least been helping the Nuggets get a win.
