Speculation across Broncos Country abounds that Denver’s high-priced head coach has been tanking the team since he got here. How else, folks wonder, could he justify Bringing Vance Joseph back into the building? He’s made plenty of other questionable calls, as well, on his way to a 1-4 record.

Here Payton tells Colin Cowherd that the race to the bottom among teams pining to draft Caleb Williams will cause the NFL to institute an NBA style draft lottery. He said this last November, before he knew that he would be coaching one of the worst franchises in pro football.
