Rockies give Colorado the gift of certainty
In a Sports town cursed by questions the Colorado Rockies have answered the bell.
Hooray. Hooray. Hooray. Troy Tulowitzki is here to stay. Your Colorado Rockies have given us all the gift of certainty this Holiday season. We have our next Elway, our next Sakic, our next great, milti-generational Colorado Sports Hero. The Denver Post is reporting that Tulo has signed a seven year extention that will keep him here through 2020.
Jorge De La Rosa will sign next. His deal could keep him here for the next 4 years.
Kudos, Colorado Rockies. We needed this.
Nobody knows what the future might hold for the Broncos. They are a complete mess. The Nuggets are clamoring to keep Carmelo around, but nobody believes that will happen. The Avalanche are moving talent around so fast that fans can’t keep track of who is coming and who is going. Finally, finally, finally, we have a sure thing.
I can go out and buy my son a Tulo jersey for Christmas and know that he will outgrow it before his hero leaves town. In sports today THAT is the greatest gift a franchise can give.
