Robert Kraft: Welker “lost” by joining Broncos
Besides making blue dress shirts with white collars the ubiquitous look of the modern billionaire, Patriots owner Robert Kraft has accomplished a lot with his NFL franchise. The Pats are considered contenders year in and year out.
In 2013 they will have to contend without one of the faces of their team, We Welker. Welker’s a Bronco now – but not becuase he wasn’t still wanted in New England.
Kraft gave a very solid interview to ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss in which he explained how much he wanted to see Wes Welker stay in a Patriots uniform and declared the wide reciever as having “lost” by joining the Broncos.
He told Reiss, “I just think it was a miscalculation of value here, and playing poker, and unfortunately the player and the team both got hurt.”
Interesting.
Wes Welker wasn’t looking too hurt when he held his Broncos press conference last week. In fact, he looked pretty happy.
