The difference between the horrible Avalanche and the awful Broncos is that we KNOW the Broncos will get better – and probably soon. There’s no telling how long the Avalanche are going to suck.
That’s what prompted resident Sports Writer, John Reidy to pen this week’s edition of his column, Jock Itch.
“The Avs went from a powerhouse NHL franchise that hadn’t missed the playoffs in more than 10 years to a bumbling joke in the blink of an eye. Teams can’t stay great forever, but where the Broncos will get back in the mix in a season or two, don’t expect the Avs to be any good for a long time.”
