“Something went awry then, causing the all-too-sudden cancellation of the Reed Marks show.”

The last time we mentioned Reed Marks was back in February of this year when we reported that Mr. Marks was out at Mile High Sports radio. His morning program, aptly titled “the Reed Marks show” had been part of the schedule on the station for only a very brief period of time but had quickly gotten traction. Listeners enjoyed Marks’ matter-of-fact style and the on-air rapport he had with his co-host, Zach Fogg, a long-time board op and producer at MHS. Something went awry then, causing the all-too-sudden cancellation of the Reed Marks show. Marks was also relieved of duty with Cover 32, a series of NFL team sites created and managed by Mile High Sports and with Mile High Sports dot com.

Marks’ lengthy stint as part of the crew at 9th and Lincoln came to a startling and immediate end and we haven’t from him since. But, from what we’re hearing, Reed Marks is about to reappear. This time his head is going to pop up over at 104.3 the Fan where his Reed Marks Show cohort Zach “the Honey Bear” Fogg has found a new home as a producer, update voice and weekend host. Reed will be joining Honey Bear in the studio on Saturday, following the broadcast of the game between the Air Force fightin’ Falcons and the Black Knights of Army. They’ll be opening the mics up sometime around 1pm and talking sports clear up until 5pm.

A four-hour shift is a bit lengthy for a brand new weekend show, especially at the top station in town, but Reed and Zach are ready for it. The two have the advantage of already having worked together and Reed is sure to have plenty of commentary cooped up in his head since he’s had no outlet since early Spring.

Hats off to management at the Fan for being clever enough to bring in one of the better duos in Denver sports radio to spice up their weekend schedule. Now, if they only get Sandy Clough back to being solo …
