Photo: Radio billboards neglect TV star, Ring of Famer
I have been seeing this billboard for 102.3 ESPN’s afternoon show, “The Locker Room” all around town for weeks now. Clearly, this is a very large and very expensive advertising campaign intended to attract drive time listeners who might otherwise tune in music stations or the “other” afternoon drive show at the Fan.
But, the Locker Room features both Gary Miller, whose name is very recognizable in Denver, and Tom Nalen, the former Broncos center who is being inducted into the Ring of Fame in a few weeks. Those are some pretty famous dudes. So why do these billboards make no mention at all of them and relfect only the program’s logo?
Shouldn’t 102.3 ESPN want to advertise the fact that they have invested to heavily in talent?
Oh, by the way, somebody named Nate Kreckman is also on the show.
