Root sports must want to be boring and lose viewers for their pre-game and post-game shows.
Here’s an idea: just go straight to game action and forget the rest. Tom Helmer brought something special to Root Sports, just like Alanna Rizzo did. The only difference is that Alanna chose to leave. Tom didn’t.
He was funny and entertaining. The things he did with the crowd at the end of Rockies victories were awesome. The way you guys canned him was a complete joke. Talk about distasteful!
Root Sports, you made a lot of rockies fans very unhappy with that decision.

He is just as boring as Nate Kreckman on that newly re-formed 102.3 ESPN channel.
I don’t get your reasoning for firing Tom. He had a huge following! So Root Sports, don’t be surprised to see your ratings go down in flames.
People are going to Coors Field regardless.
Maybe that’s what you want! For people to go to the games rather than watching on TV. That way people will pay to see a team that just raised ticket prices by 8% despite missing the Playoffs!
That’s is my last rant on Tom Helmer and Root Sports.
As baseball season rapidly approaches I am excited to watch my Rockies.
We have some new faces and this could be Todd Heltons last hurrah.
