NFL free agency is definitely a two way street
“The aforementioned Wesley Woodyard, recently a defensive captain for the Broncos, is on him way to Boston to talk with the Patriots, according to Brandon Krizstal. The way Denver “did” Woodyard last season he probably can’t wait for his first opportunity to lay the “wood” to Peyton Manning.”

The NFL free agency window will open at 2PM mountain time today and a feeding frenzy will begin among teams making offers and players looking for new homes and new deals. The Denver Broncos will sign some players. The Denver Broncos will lose some players.
For fans the anticipation this time of year is thrilling. The prospect of the orange and blue shoring up some big names gets everybody lathered up. But for every Jared Allen there’s a Wesley Woodyard. For every Darren Sproles there’s a Knowshon Moreno. NFL free agency is definitely a two way street.
The aforementioned Wesley Woodyard, recently a defensive captain for the Broncos, is on him way to Boston to talk with the Patriots, according to Brandon Krizstal. The way Denver “did” Woodyard last season he probably can’t wait for his first opportunity to lay the “wood” to Peyton Manning.
Eric Decker is likely to command more money that the Broncos are willing to pay even though he was one of the pretty faces of a record setting offense just a season ago. Knowshon Moreno is likely to shed his alligator tears on some other sideline next season and either Joel Dreessen or Jacob Tamme have probably reached the end of the line in Denver, too.
As fun as it is to consider which new players will comprise the 2014 version of the Denver Broncos it’s sad to think about which old ones will be gone.
Free agents cannot come to the Broncos unless they have departed from some other team that decided not to pay them anymore. Will Vikings fans miss Jared Allen? You had better believe it. And their loss could be our gain, but in free agency everything comes at a price.
Saying goodbye to some of the 2013 Broncos will not be easy, no matter who the team signs for next season.
