Mark Kiszla was right.

On his morning radio show, which he hosts on Mile High Sports Radio alongside Peter Burns and Eric Goodman, Mark Kiszla made the argument that Bobby Petrino has been through enough. He’s lost his job and thinks probably aren’t going very smoothly for the old guy at home.

I agree with Kiszla.

Deadspin is currently undergoing an investigation into text messages Petrino sent using his University-issued cell phone – many of which were to the young lady with whom Petrino was having an affair. Rumor has it that some of the texts included nude imagages of Petrino – which Deadspin has promised to publish.

Is all this necessary? Can’t we let Petrino off the hook? The damage has been done.

All Deadspin and other sites can accomplish by further embarrassing Petrino is to generate clicks. That’s the goal of every Blog, it’s true. But there are other more interesting topics to discuss. Banging on Petrino now is a little too TMZ for my tastes. It would be nice if the internet could just spare us the most salacious details just this once.

Leave Bobby Petrino alone!
