I know the last thing you want to do right now is step out on to a sheet of ice, but The Denver Curling Club is holding its Learn to Curl class this weekend, Saturday, April 13th from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
Aside from being a blast, you’ll want to learn how to do it now because when the winter Olympics roll around, you’ll be all “I want try curling, that looks like fun and something a fat slob like me could do.” Well, you’d be right on all counts: it is fun and a fat slob like you could do it, but it’s harder than it looks. Come out and the Denver Curling Club will get you what you need to learn to curl and you’ll be hooked. Then you’ll have plenty of time to practice and make your run at Olympic Glory.

Learn to Curl Clinic Includes:
· A short introduction to the history and game of curling
· Review of curling and ice safety tips
· On-ice instruction with USCA certified instructors
· A short simulated game
All equipment is provided. Wear warm clothing that is loose enough to allow for good range of motion. Sweatpants are a good choice and layers help.Blue Jeans generally are not flexible enough for curling.You MUST wear clean athletic shoes, no crocs, high heels or leather soles, please.
