Its’ time to let the Birdman fly.

AJ Niss | February 1, 2012

Chris Andersen has been a fan favorite but lately he’s done nothing but poop on the Nuggets’ windshield.

I have previously said that I don’t like to talk about wanting players off the Nuggets. Well, that notion is pretty much out the window.

I want Chris Birdman Anderson to fly away.

He hasn’t been producing. He’s is wasting George Karl’s time – and Kosta Koufis’s time – not to mention Kenneth Faried’s time.

What has Birdman done?

Not that much in my opinion.

Ever since having that great season (in his contract year) he hasn’t done anything useful.  He got his contract extension and has been frustrating to watch ever since.

I know that I am not the only Nuggets fan feeling this way.

It seems like lately he’s been concerned mostly about where to get his next tattoo.

In the last 10 games he is averaging 4.7 ppg and 1.3 blocks per game. That to me does not make him worth having around.

The Nuggets have up and coming stars Kosta Koufis and  Kenneth Farried just licking their chops to gain minutes.

George Karl is so annoyed with “Birdman” that he benches him after hardly any minutes and then Birdman whines about it. Somehow he remains a starter ahead of Koufis and Faried which makes no sense.

I hope the Nuggets can find away to trade him at the deadline for some picks and allow Koufis and Faried to progress.

I know Birdman is a fan favorite but he is not getting the job done. I hate to say, it’s time to let the Birdman fly!
