It’s time to fire Josh McDaniels.

Colin D. | November 27, 2010

The debate is over. It’s time for Josh to go.
I’m through with Josh McDaniels. Pat Bowlen should be, too. I just finished watching McDaniels’ post-scandal press conference and I am disgusted.

McDaniels took no responsibility for the video incident. He’s content to throw his videographer under the bus and hope we all move on. How can anyone respect this guy? He stared at the floor during his entire presser (which lasted all of three minutes). He couldn’t look the fans or the media in the eye.

How can we be expected to believe that McDaniels had no idea Scarnecchia taped the ‘Niners practice? Is he some kind of rougue videographer? He works for the Broncos. Doesn’t he do what he’s told to do?

McDaniels says that he didn’t watch the tape. That’s as credible as “I didn’t inhale” and “I threw away the meth I got from that male prostitute I didn’t have sex with”. Thinking people know that McDaniels is just covering his tracks.

It’s not like Josh has a Belichick-like winning history to help him deflect this mess. He’s lost 15 games out of 20 since starting his career 6-0. He was prime firing material before Spygate 2: the son of Spygate.

This is Pat Bowlen’s golden opportunity to end the nightmare.
