It’s a great day to be a Nuggets fan
A ridiculous May snowstorm has finally passed us by. The sun is out and the melt-off is in top gear. It’s a great day to be a Denver Nuggets fan and that’s what I want to be. No more analysis. No more questions. No more talk about George Karl’s job and Andre Iguodala’s contract. I’m just going to play “go with the Nuggets” at top volume, wear my New Era cap just slightly askew and count down the hours until game six begins.
After all, tonight the whole ride could come to an end. In fact, it’s more likely that there won’t be a game seven than it is that there will be. That’s a painful though, but it’s the reality of the situation. The sports books in Las Vegas have the Warriors as 1.5 point favorites. Despite Denver having entered the series as the higher seed, Golden State has swung the series in their favor. Chances are the Nuggets fly home tonight and begin their vacations. We have to be prepared for that and ready just to celebrate this season for what it was.
Tomorrow we can begin picking the Nuggets apart and speculating about the changes they will make in the off-season – or we can start making plans for Saturday night. But today let’s just be fans.
