Your Denver Nuggets host the woeful Phoenix Suns tonight at Pepsi Center. Denver fans will get another glimpse of the legendary Steve Nash, one of the best point guards in NBA history.
Nash is getting old – but he’s still got it. As the blog Sports Grid points out today, Nash is likely to leave the Suns soon and any team would be smart to go get him.
I think he would look great in a Nuggets uniform.
George Karl loves point guards – so why not Steve Nash? Andre Miller can hit the bricks – and Karl can roll the two-guard offense using Ty Lawson and Nash who, unlike the disinterested Miller, really does make the players around him better.
Nash would bring a veteran presence to a young Nuggets team and lead by example. He has an intense will to compete. Maybe it would rub off.
Of course, if Nash does leave the Suns it will be to go somewhere he can win – and win quickly. Masai, Josh and George would have some selling to do. It’s OK, though. John Elway just showed them how.
