Here’s your stupid Broncos / Chiefs prediction
There is absolutely, positively no way that the Kansas City Chiefs are going to come into Mile High and knock off the Broncos today. Will they even make a game of it?
Here’s how I see this one going down.

The Denver Broncos might be playing for the number one seed in the AFC when they host the ailing Kansas City Chiefs this afternoon. Even if the Texans win their early game versus the Colts and lock up that seed, the Broncos will need the win to keep the bye week on lock. KC’s playing for nothing, the Broncos are playing for something. There’s zero doubt that Denver will take care of business, but will today’s game be a blowout?
The answer is “yes”.
The Broncos will lead at halftime 24-3. Kansas City will have dodged a halftime shut-out thanks to a long Jamaal Charles run delivers them into field goal position. However, they will have turned the ball over twice in the first half.
In the third quarter the Broncos will break the game wide open. Two more touchdowns, one scored on offense and another on defense, will put them on top 38-3. It’s at that point that we will have seen the last of Peyton Manning for the next two weeks. Despite his having promised to play the entire game, John Fox will wisely insist that number eighteen grab a Gatorade and a clip board.
For those about to Brock, we salute you.
Osweiler will get the entire fourth quarter to hand the ball off. He won’t throw more than a handful off passes. Denver will manage one more score – a field goal. Kansas City will find pay dirt in garbage time. Final score: 41-10 Broncos.
Romeo Crennell and Scott Paoli will have spent their last games in Chiefs gear. Kansas City will be rebuilt from the ground up in the off-season only to be swept again next season by the Broncos.
