Somehow, despite the fact that the Denver Broncos have decimated all comers this season, I have heard plenty of talk about how close today’s tilt at Cowboys stadium will be. Even the odds shark that comes onto Sandy Clough’s show was advising listeners this week to take Dallas plus the 7.5 Vegas is giving.
Nuts I say.
I looking for more from the Broncos of what we have seen this season – another 40+ point performance. Will they completely shut Dallas down? Nope. The Cowboys will manage to scrounge together four TDs, but almost all of those will come in a vain attempt to catch the Broncos in the second half.
Denver has finally demonstrated an ability to start out hot. Against the Eagles they the lead early and never looked back. In previous weeks they waited until the third quarter to light it up, but it seems as though they are ready to stop toying with opponents. I foresee them sending a message to the Cowboys early that their efforts will be wasted. Look for Peyton Manning to throw up three TDs in the first half.
Halftime: 24-10 Broncos
The second shift will consist of the Broncos putting another 17 while the Cowboys scramble. Dallas will add three more TDs, but it will not be enough. Tony Romo’s fantasy owners will leave happy, but Cowboys fans won’t.
Final score: 41-31 Broncos
Sandy Clough’s Vegas dude can explain away how the Broncos managed to cover when he comes on next week.
