The 4 month long NBA season is over and what do we have thank to end it? The NBA fan that’s right the NBA fan not the ownership or the NBAPA or the players for that matter it’s the FAN. We have seen players and David Stern act like little children through this process and they are very lucky that they have such a loyal fan base that we put up with it and would still go to their games.

NBA players are the most egotistical human beings on the face of the earth they have a bigger ego than president OBAMA. I understood why the owners did what they did and why the players stood their ground. Nba cities were losing teams money and jobs because of the numerous outrages player salaries. Even bench warmer players were getting a cool million. I know I know seemed like im bashing the players but look what came out of the deal instead of a 50/50% split in the BRI (Basketball Related Income) they settled on a 49/51%, the players were so greedy they needed a whole two percentile value over the owners over the previous they had a 57% over the ownership in the last CBA.

Now why did the players stood their ground the way the did, its all about the money you wouldn’t want to lose more guaranteed money would you? NBA has the most guaranteed contracts than any other sport yeah baseball has guaranteed money but not as much as the nba and something had to give.  But at least we have a deal now it’s a 66 game schedule with the season starting on xmas my beloved Nuggets will start their season on the 28th against the hated San Antonio Spurs.

I am very excited to see basketball again as I was getting yancy that the NFL College football season is about to end. I do follow other sports but not as hardcore as NBA. Free agency will begin on the 9th and its going to be very interesting to see how the TEAMS will work it out with the new CBA agreement. If you are not truly an NBA fan I would start watching it now instead of a 82 game season it is now a 66 game season there is going to be basketball played every night every day of the week and so many games in a night you wont miss a thing.

The playoff races will be intense and so tight because of the games lost. So go ahead a follow a team there is many to choose from and players to hate and like. As for my team I have followed the Denver Nuggets as long as I can remember and its going to be interesting to see what they can do since they lost all star Carmelo Anthony and the homegrown  Chauncey Billups to a trade to the New York Knicks. Also the nuggets have half their roster in this free agency class NENE Aaron Afflalo and Gary Forbes.

With the other free agents went to China Jr Smith Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler which those players cant come back because china has an no opt out clause in their contracts. So it should be interesting to see how the Nuggets can build their team with a low cap. This is going to be a bumpy  and a fun ride in this 2011-2012 nba season.
