Yes, Avalanche fans, it’s true. Peter Forsberg is back and he is as devilishly handsome as ever. The Denver Post’s Adrian Dater reported this morning that Foppa with rejoin the Colorado Avalanche for the remainder of the 2011 season.
Naturally, it’s defense and goaltending that the Avalanche truly need if they wish to truly improve but there is no denying the fact that ticket sales wil spike as soon as the box office opens on Monday. Forsberg may be old and he may have a screwey ankle but he’s an all time fan favorite. In a town where seemingly everything old is new again why wouldn’t the Avalanche bring a blast back from the past?
According to Dater, Petah will probably not play Tuesday or Wednesday. He’s still getting his feet wet. Beyond that, though, Av’s fans can once again look forward Altitude’s Mike Haynes shouting “Peter the GREAT, Peter the GREAT, PE-TER THE GREAT!”.
