Remember: I use only high quality, real white meat. No fillers. Here are Colin’s Fantasy Nuggets for week four in the NFL:
The fantasy vultures were hovering in week four, picking the meat off of your fantasy bone. Chris “silent G” Ogbonnaya outscored guys like Marshawn Lynch, Knowshon Moreno and, yes, Trent Richardson. Danny Woodhead was a little PPR wonder with his five catches and two TDs. Roy Helu was in the mix, too, as was Dexter McCluster, Kenbrell Thompkins Jerricho Cotchery, Robert Woods, Garrett Graham, Charles Clay, Sean McGrath, Mychal Rivera and Delaney Walker. Fantasy players needed a press guide to keep track of the total strangers stealing TDs.
Peyton Manning just keeps on averaging 380 yards and 4 TDs per game. Is there any question that he would be the first overall pick if you drafted again in your six point per TD pass league? He wasn’t the heaviest hitter at QB in week four, though. Both Rivers and Brees outscored him. The Chargers QB appears to be one of the real steals of the season along with Jordon Cameron, Fred Jackson and Antonio Brown.
Nate Washington has been a nice surprise for his owners. Torrey Smith has been, too. He’s an every week WR1 at this point. CJ Spiller, Doug Martin and Ray Rice have all been terrible disappointments and are destroying fantasy seasons. Too bad you didn’t trade those guys while you still could. Chris Johnson is borderline droppable. So is Maurice Jones-Drew. Hang on to Hakeem Nicks and Roddy White, though. Things should get better for those two huge disappointments. You’re not going to get any value for them now, anyway.
If you benched Vick against the Broncos in week four, good on you. You were better off starting Carson Palmer. Top non-QBs in PPR for week four: Victor Cruz, Darren Sproles, Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham.
Speaking of Graham, tell me he wasn’t worthy of a top ten pick. Dude is a scoring machine.
Top defenses for week four: Tennessee, Indy and Washington. Yeah, you saw that coming. Oh, by the way, take a look at Carolina’s schedule for the next four weeks. Now that’s juicier than my nuggets.
