It seems like every friggin’ time I turn on my radio some local sports jockey is interviewing Bill Romanowski. I heard that bozo on two different shows today.
Spit in my face why don’t you?
He’s wandering around radio row this week looking for stations willing to stick him on the air to so he can sell nutritional supplements. He tells fans what he they want to hear and blows smoke up their asses so that they’ll think he’s on their side – that he’s one of them.
Bill Romanowski is definitely not one of us. He’s not a Denver Bronco and he’s not welcome in Broncos Country. He hasn’t been for a long time. Screw Bill Romanowski. Stop handing that guy a microphone.
Bill Romanowski was a dirty player and an embarrassment to the Orange and Blue. His behavior on the field never sat well and his strangeness off the field was offsetting. I am convinced that the Broncos could have won Super Bowls without him and that they would have been a more likeable team for it.
I won’t even call Romanowski by his cute nickname. When I say “Romo” I am referring to the Dallas Cowboy quarterback. Romanowski isn’t my pal. He’s not my buddy. He’s the enemy.
Bill Romanowski is a filthy Raider and that is what he will die being. He was a ’Niner and an Eagle before he played in Denver (for five seasons) and he was a an eleven-year vet by the time he donned the silver and blech (for two seasons) but once a Raider always a Raider. When he retired he became their problem. He even kept living in Oakland.
Why in God’s name do local radio shows keep interviewing him?
Don’t they remember when he spit in the face of JJ Stokes or broke Kerry Collins’ jaw – in a preseason game? Don’t they remember the hits and the fines and the fights and the time he threw a football at a guy’s junk? Don’t they remember BALCO?
The Super Bowl provides media with a parade of current and former stars of sports, stage and screen all ripe to be interviewed, grabbed, handed a mic. There is no need to continue exposing the good people of Colorado to Bill Romanowski, a man who represents all that is wrong with sports – and America.
Today I heard him say that the fans of Denver were the best in the NFL. I saw right through it. He will say the same thing in any NFL city if he thinks it will sell some of his steroid mix. He has no loyalty to Denver and Denver owes him none.
Bill Romanowski is dead to Denver.
