Welcome to the premiere episode of Riding the Sandworm.

This is a podcast about Dune, the books, the movies and everything in between.

It can probably get spoilery and in fact, John goes on a bit of a jag about Brian Herbert’s sequel books to start things off, but nothing will ruin your enjoyment of Dune if you haven’t read too deep into the series.

Our first guest is Ryan Boulding (@rboulding) and we talk about Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Dune adaptation slated for release later this year. There was a good bit of new pics dropped this week and we discuss. Also, Ryan bought the new Dune board game and will report back once he’s found enough people to play. And we talk about Dune’s influence on pop culture and in particular, Iron Maiden’s “To Tame A Land” song and how Frank wasn’t having it.
