The South Stands Denver Season-Long $10,000 NFL Wager-Off: Week One
After having bet each and every NFL games for the past four years, our contributors decided to try something new. Each was awarded an imaginary $10,000 with which to wager throughout the NFL season. Here are their bets for week one, against the spread and on over / unders.
Over the past four NFL seasons our football prognosticators, John Reidy, Colin Daniels, Scott Stafford and our Buddy Snyder have picked each and every NFL game VS the spread for a season-long contest, the winner of which received nothing and the loser of which was dealt great shame. Many guest “pickers” joined our ranks for those weekly battles and a fine time was had by all. For some strange reason the posts in which we revealed our weekly picks remain some of the most clicked on in SSD’s history.
This season John, Colin, Scott and Snyder, along with Mile High Sports’ Brandon Spano of the aptly-named “Brandon Spano Show” will be taking a different approach to their season-long contest.
We’re pleased to introduce the The South Stands Denver Season-Long $10,000 NFL Wager-Off.
For this contest each of our NFL insiders has been awarded an imaginary $10,000 bankroll for the 2014 NFL season. Each picker must wager at least 10% of his bankroll every week – but not more than 50% – on any combination of three or more NFL lines or NFL “over/ unders”.
The contest continues through the playoffs and, for the Super Bowl, twelve prop bets will be added in addition to the point spread and point total bets available.
The winner of the contest gets nothing. The loser gets shamed.
