Nate Robinson may be done for the year. Would that mean more Andre Miller?
Reports are circulating that Nuggets’ reserve point guard (and spark plug) Nate Robinson, who has been a real bright spot for Denver this season, has a torn ACL. Assuming that is the case then he is done for the season – which stinks.
It will stink even more if Robinson’s absence leads the Nuggets allowing Andre Miller to return. The team could doubtlessly use some guard help but bringing Miller back would be extraordinarily awkward and it would undermine Brian Shaw’s stern leadership. Miller has demonstrated that he neither supports nor respects Denver’s new coach.
If Miller does not re-enter the Nuggets lineup the team will probably look elsewhere for another reserve guard or put its faith in Randy Foye and Evan Fournier. Heaven forbid if Ty Lawson’s rotator cuff injury is worse than is being reported.
