Here’s your stupid Broncos / Patriots prediction

With the Chiefs having lost at home to the Chargers today (which I predicted), the Broncos certainly do not NEED to beat the Patriots today. But they might get it done anyway, but it’s far more important that they take care of business in Arrowhead next Sunday.
The way I see it the Broncos win a lower scoring game today (44 or fewer points) or lose a higher scoring game (44 or more points).
Denver won’t be able to hang with New England in a shootout. Not with the weather being what it is at Foxborough. But, if the Broncos defense holds serve the way it did against KC and limits the Pats to short drives I think they can get it done today. I could see the final score being 24-17 in a Denver victory.
A New England win would be by a small margin in a wide-open offensive game. The Pats would need to score over 30 points. Turnovers will need to favor them with Peyton Manning having been sacked and fumbled, allowing the Pats a quick easy score on at least one drive.
As hyped as the Manning / Brady showdown has been in the media, Denver does not want this game to come down to the quarterback play. Tom Brady is far more comfortable playing in the conditions we will see tonight. Manning is likely to be “off”. His reputation for playing poorly when it’s cold outside is well earned. The temperature at kickoff looks to be around twenty degrees.
If Denver is going to beat the Patriots at their place it will have to be with lots of running and lots of defense. They will need to slow things down and eat time of possession in order to keep the ball out of Tom Brady’s hands.
So do I think that they can do it? Nope.
This will be the first time this season that I predict a Broncos loss. I hope I am wrong but it just feels that way to me.
Final score? 34-31 Pats.
Hopefully Manning stays healthy enough to play next week.
