Iguodala had one eye on the exits the whole time he was in Denver
Now that “swingman” Andre “Iggy” Iguodala has opted to squirm his way out of Denver (after just one season) and accept an offer from the Golden State Warriors, there is speculation that his departure is related to the “crumbling” and “clowning” of the Nuggets organization. Said speculation is completely off base. That guy never wanted to be here in the first place.
Mark Kiszla was in London for the Olympic Games when the 76ers traded hiom here. Iguodala was playing for team USA at the time, so he was there too. Kiszla reported at the time that Iguodala was visibly upset about coming to Denver. The player denied Kiszla’s reports, of course, but Kiszla stuck to his guns saying “I know what I saw.”
Denver was never more that a pit-stop for Iguodala and he knew that all along. He has been eying the exits since the moment he flew into town. For that reason Nuggets fan should be glad to see him go. Regardless of his aggressive perimeter defense and ability to penetrate and dish on the offensive end, we don’t need him around here.
Enough with these jerks who can’t stand playing in Denver. Fans here are sick and tired of them. Hopefully the newly-formed organization will double efforts to recruit players who see real value in being a part of this community.
