Nuggets: …aaaaaand it’s Shaw.
The mystery is solved.
After a spate of candidates came through Denver to interview for the Nuggets’ head coaching gig, the team has hired former Lakers and Pacers assistant Brian Shaw, according to Benjamin “Hooch” Hochman over at the Denver Post.
Shaw is a highly respected and exciting hire. He’s been close before, but this will be his first head coaching gig.
He won three titles as a player for the Lakers and has been to the NBA Finals five times. Shaw certainly doesn’t lack for Championship experience. Let’s hope that experience serves the Nuggets well.
He is famous for his alley-oop passes to Shaquille O’Neal. The two were nicknamed the “Shaw-Shaq redemption” both in LA and in Orlando.
Here at the South Stands we are giddy about the Shaw hire. We feel that the Nuggets made the right choice.
