NBA All-Star weekend is underway and Nuggets fans are reminded that none of the players on their favorite team qualify to participate in the main event. Kenneth Faried has been thrown a bone, but, for the most part, the Nuggets are on the outside looking in.
The ultimate All-Star, Michael Jordan, turn 50 on Sunday. We will all get an earful about that. You can count on it. This piece of video reminds un of Jordan’s uncanny greatness. In it the great one drains a free-throw with his eyes closed agains Mutombo’s Nuggets at the old McNichols Arena.
It’s a bitter pill considering that the Nuggets can’t make free thrown with their eyes open. They’re the worst team in the NBA from the “charity stripe”.
