The Rockies sold Esmil Rogers to Cleveland

It looks like Esmil will get to chill with Ubaldo again.
Esmil Rogers has been “traded to the Cleveland Indians for cash considerations” which, in non-baseball parlance means the Rockies sold him. It doesn’t sound very tasteful – but that’s what happened.
Rogers, like Jamie Moyer before him, was “designated for assignment” last week. Now he’s a goner. His departure leaves one roster spot open on the Rockies. They have 39 men on their 40 man roster.
