Most Nuggets fans are ready to jump of a cliff. After an up and down and down and down season, the team has squandered a long home stand as has begun to lose on the road.
Tonight Denver goes into Chicago to battle one of the best teams in the NBA on thier turf – in the house that Jordan built. The Nugs are a long shot to win. BUT – if they can overcome the odds and take it to the Bulls they can all but erase the negative feelings that have begun to surround them.
This game is that big – big enough that a victory will Spackle over the past couple of losses. Utah and Minnesota are fringe playoff teams that made the Nuggets look like a lottery team.
Chicago is a title contender. If the Nuggets can beat the Bulls they will at least look like an 8th seed again.
As it stands, the Nuggets are in 9th place in the west and on the outside looking in at the playoffs.
