Yahoo douchebag gasses up the Tebow train for GQ
Basketball season is in high gear. The Avalanche are terrible and Jim Tracy can do no wrong. Still, it’s Tebow that gets the media talking.

As is my normal routine, I have been ingesting Sports talk all day.
Ever since I tuned in to Mile High Sports at 6:50 am the topic of the day has somehow been Tim Tebow. It boggles the mind, really.
Football season is long over.
It’s been weeks since Madonna lip-synced her way through the Superbowl half-time show. I’m pretty sure the Giants won the game but I don’t care. That was weeks ago.
Just last night the Nuggets gutted out a difficult win against the Timberwolves. Yesterday, pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training in Arizona. The Rockies have no idea what the rotation is going to look like yet Jim Tracy and the Rockies have been hitched until death do them part.
There’s a shit ton of topics to discuss in Denver Sports. We even have the Avalanche to talk about once we’ve exhausted the interesting stuff.
Still, Tebow stories lead – even when they’re drummed up by some douche bag who writes for Yahoo Sports.
Michael Silver knew precisely what he was doing when he scoured the NFL for quotes about the Broncos’ young QB. He was diggin’ for clicks. It’s working.
As everyone who is reading this already knows, Silver was able to coax a few damning quotes about Timmy out of numerous players for a piece he penned for G.Q.. That in its self would be no big deal if weren’t for the fact that one of them happened to be Brady Quinn.
Quinn was completely honest which was a huge mistake. He essentially threw dirt on any chance he might have had of returning to the Broncos as Tebow’s back up.
You’ve read the quotes, i’m sure, so I won’t bother plopping them in here. Quinn basically came off as bitter and kind of a dickhead. He definitely should have known better. Anything anyone says about Tebow gets magnified by 1000 times. Speaking negatively about him is never wise – especially if you once were, or hope to possibly remain, his team mate.
Was what Quinn said true? Of course it was. But is came across as sour-grapes. All he managed to accomplish was to feed the Tebow beast.
And now it’s all anyone is talking about.
Congratulations are in order, I suppose. Mr. Silver accomplished what he set out to do. I visited G.Q.’s web site for the very first time as will tens of thousands of people.
There are more relevant issues that Brady Quinn’s feelings toward the guy that kept him off the field for yet another NFL season, but they aren’t as captivating.
