I’m developing a Twitter addiction. It’s getting serious. I haven’t hit rock bottom yet but I have become a problem Tweeter, and Carmelo Anthony is my number one trigger. I have been afraid to take my eyes off my computer screen ever since I saw ‘Melo peel off his Nuggets jersey following the Bucks game.
Where will he go? Will the Nuggets make the right deal? Will Chauncey be dealt, too? Will it be New York? New Jersey? Will he play for the East in the All-Star game? Will be sit down with that Russian dude? Will LaLa sell her restaurant? How many picks will we get? Will he stay in the Western Conference? Will he be a rental? What about Cuban? Who has the latest, hottest, most recent news?
I need information! If I can’t have information I want rumors, speculation, innuendo, opinion…HELP ME TWITTER!
The Carmelo Anthony trade situation might be the greatest moment in Twitter sports history. It’s ever-changing and constantly in flux. Nobody knows anything yet everyone knows something. Pundits are literally RACING to deliver the goods – to be the FIRST to Tweet every time Carmelo wipes his ass. Every day the Nuggets are on the very edge of a blockbuster deal…and yet this has dragged on for what seems like FOREVER! Perfection.
Everyone keeps saying that fans “just want this to be over”. I call bullshit. I am a fan and I am enjoying the “Melodrama” much, much more than I enjoy watching the Nuggets sleep-walk through games against shitty teams like Golden State. This is fucking fun. I don’t ever want it to end. Sports in Denver suck balls right now.
