The Rockies P.R. department has told the Denver Media to go get it’s fucking shine box.

“But, I’m funny how? Funny like a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh? I’m here to fuckin’ amuse you? ” – Tommy DeVito, Goodfellahs.

The Colorado Rockies have made it clear that they are not here to amuse the Denver Sports Media – or to answer their questions or to take any of their crap.

Play ball or lose your access. That’s the tone the team has set – and, in the wake of yesterday’s shuffling of management, the P.R. department reiterated that message to various reporters with the nerve to make inquiries as to how and why Dan O’Dowd was allowed to demote himself.

The team has all the right people in place and is making all the right decisions and that, according to the Rockies, is all anybody needs to know.

Mile High Sports Radio’s Peter Burns complained on his morning show, the Press Box, about the way the Rockies P.R. Department treated him yesterday. When Burns asked questions he got a baseball bat to the back of his head.

Veteran journalist, Sandy Clough, of 104.3 the Fan also got the smack down. Clough, who’s known for being analytical, rubbed the bosses the wrong way and was told to back the fuck off.

The Rockies don’t want to try and explain themselves to the media becuase they don’t want to have to explain themselves to the fans. They’re headed toward a 100 loss season and could finish with the worst record in all of baseball. Fans feel like they deserve answers but the Rockies don’t agree.

Yesterday’s odd behavior on the part of the organization remains unexplained.

Will O’Dowd be fired? Will Jim Tracy survive this season? What changes can we expect in the near future?

Nobody knows. And nobody will know anything until it happens.
