The Press Box radio show is headed to a TV near you

For Peter Burns and Mark Kiszla, the hosts of Mile High Sports’ AM radio program “the Press Box” these are heady times. The duo has worked together to carve out a unique niche. They have also integrated their program into the content at the Denver Post’s web site with the “Kickin’ it with Kiz” audio feature which appears at the site weekdays after their MHS show.

Burns and Kiszla have demonstrated a willingness to try new things in an otherwise stodgy media environment. They recognize the value of technology and of social media in establishing and growing an audience. They also know that, as media evolves, the lines between various outlets are blurring. That’s why they’ll be taking the Press Box with Kiz and Burns to a TV set near you.

Details of their TV arrangements are still somewhat blurry, but the fact that the Press Box will soon be televised is no secret. Peter Burns teased the TV show on Twitter this morning. Spoke with Burns on the telephone soon after I read his Tweets and I was able to pin the host down on a few details, some of which I agreed to keep under wraps for a few weeks.

Suffice it to say that the Press Box will become something like a regional version of the Dan Patrick show or Mike and Mike in the Morning. The show will be aired and broadcast simultaneously and will be available on-demand for re-listening and re-viewing. The Denver Post will be a partner in the production of the new program while Mile High Sports remains the radio signal where the show will air (AM1510, FM93.7)

As more information becomes available about the Press Box TV show we will keep you informed.
