South Stands Denver Fancast, Show 111

A rare treat for the South Stands Denver Fancast as we welcome in the one and only Tom Helmer! (@Tom_Helmer)

Tom, the most beloved unemployed sports caster in Denver history gives us all the gory details on how he was let go from ROOT Sports, talks Rockies and walks John through the stages of grief concerning the team. John is only at the ‘bargaining’ stage he decides. “I feel like I’m at an alcoholic anonymous meeting,” was said during the shaming.

A very interesting story on how his jumping up after a Rockies win was almost derailed by jealousy unfolds and Tom talks about his career plan, his love of Colorado and heaps much praise on Rockies fans. We also play a game and there’s some weird music and a poem. Tom was a sport and made for a great show.
