Peyton Manning is digging the Ipads and we’re digging for Broncos news
(via Pro Football Talk)
It’s the slowest part of the year for NFL chatter but there’s always a story out there if you dig hard enough. This story is proof of that.
It seems that Peyton Manning is pretty jazzed about the fancy new technology the Broncos have rolled out this season. Playbooks on Ipad are likely to become the standard in pro football circles but, for now, the Broncos remain one of only a handful of teams using them and P.F.M. is digging it. He told Pro Football Talk: “It’s easier for the video guys to send it to all the different players, and it’s a great way to study for these guys. There’s no excuse not to have the playbook and the game film to study.”
Broncos video director, Steve Boxer, says: “He was one of the first guys I dropped video into an iPad for.”
According to PFT blogger, MIchael David Smith, “Not only do they have all the plays like a standard paper playbook, and all the video that players would watch in team meetings, but the iPad also has all the team’s schedules, travel itineraries, and a notification that pops up to remind players about their next team meetings.“
No word yet as to which Broncos player have gotten to the highest level of Angry Birds.
