Peyton Hillis keeps making things worse for McD
Josh McDaniels might have had a bye this week but he lost anyway.
Eric Mangini’s Cleveland Browns made Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots look downright foolish. They decimated the favored Pats 34-14 in Ohio on Sunday.
Leading the charge for the Browns with over 300 yards of total offense and 2 touchdowns was Peyton Hillis, the Great White Hope.
Peyton Hillis is a beast. He is leaping over, bowling over and running over defenders, and the NFL spot light is shining upon him. He has eight touchdowns on the season and he is just getting warmed up.
Where did this guy come from?
We in Denver know.
In a year when the Broncos running game is among their most glaring weaknesses watching Hillis go berzerk for Mangini is tough. He is clearly a far better player than Knowshon Moreno who has tallied less than half of his yards this season.
Broncos fans are less than pleased. Expect Sports Talk Radio shows to explode with Hillis calls on Monday.
By the way, corner Alphonso Smith, the first round draft pick released by McDaniels in the pre-season, has five interceptions in the past three games.
Josh McDaniels might have thought that the critics would take a bye week. Sadly, his former players just won’t let them.
