Our week 7 NFL picks VS the spread

Colin D. | October 23, 2010

How to Colin and Reidy see it going down in week 7?  Find out after the jump.

Our week 7 NFL picks VS the spread.

Pittsburgh @ Miami (+3)
Plenty of folks have chosen the Steelers as the favorite to represent the AFC in the Superbowl – and for good reason.  They are tough as nails and, now that they have that rapist back under center, they are armes to the teeth.  Miami is no slouch, either, however.  Last week the Fish went into Wisconsin and stole one from the Packers at their house.  If Miami want to hang with the pack in the AFC they need to win this game.
Colin’s pick:  Miami +3, Reidy’s pick:  Pittsburgh -3

Atlanta VS Cincinnati (+3.5)
The Bungles come off their bye and travel to Hotlanta for this showdown with the Falcons.  Chad Ochocinco is talking junk once again after a period of relative quiet.  This will motivate the Falcons defense, of course, but it will also motivate Ocho to back it up.  Can Carson Palmer overcome his shittiness and get the ball to the Former Johnson?
Colin’s pick:  Cincinnati +3.5, Reidy’s pick:  Atlanta -3.5

Kansas City VS Jacksonville (+9)
It’s beginning to look a lot like Halloween.  That’s right.  The Chiefs are firmly in control of the AFC West.  Trick or Treat?  Time will tell.  K.C. has a pretty soft schedule moving forward starting with this game against a Jagoffs team that attempting to set a new standard in suckitude.  Arrowhead will rock, no doubt.  Can K.C. cover the 9?
Both pick:  Kansas City -9

Tennessee VS Philadelphia (+3)
One thing we know is that Karen Kolb will still be the Eagles’ starting QB heading into week 7 as Michael Vick heals his busted ribcage.  One thing we don’t know is whether or not Vinny Young can make the start for the Titans.  This should be a very good game either way.
Both pick:  Philadelphia +3

Chicago VS Washington (+3)
Can the ‘Skins make J Cutty whine like a bitch?  That’s really the question, isn’t it?
Both pick:  Washington +3

New Orleans VS Cleveland (+13)
Colt McCoy?  Yep.  The Browns bring their gutsy rookie QB into the Superdome to face the Superbowl Champs in week 7.  There’s a lot to like about spunky Cleveland but it’s pretty doubtful that they can get a win this week.  As nutty as 2010 has been, though, maybe they should be favored.
Colin’s pick:  New Orleans -13, Reidy’s pick:  Cleveland +13

Baltimore VS Buffalo (+13)
The Bills are playing for the first pick in the 2011 draft and not much more.  The Ravens are a playoff lock.  Can a 13 point spread be too low?
Both pick:  Baltimore -13

San Francisco @ Carolina (+3)
“With the second pick in the NFL draft…” – the Panthers are almost as shitty as the Bills.  The ‘Niners, despite having just a single win on the season, could still win the NFC West.  If San Fran drops this one, though, they will be all-but-eliminated.
Both pick:  San Francisco -3

Tampa Bay VS St Louis (+3)
Who would have thought that a Bucs / Rams game would be worth a watch in 2010?  This one sets up to be not only watchable but pretty damn exciting.  Both of these teams have escaped mediocrity and appear to have very bright futures ahead of them – possibly even playoff appearances in 2010.  Tampa gets the obligatory home 3.
Both pick:  St Louis +3

Seattle VS Arizona (+6)
The Seahawks have been surprisingly good with Pete Caroll at the helm and the Cards have been surprisingly bad without Kurt Warner.  A-Z travels to Seattle with their ball boy at QB and all but zero chance of returning to the post-season.  The Cards are playing for pride.  Do they have any?
Both pick:  Seattle -6

San Diego VS New England (+3)
Fuck the Chargers
Both pick:  New England +3

Denver VS Oakland (+8.5)
It’s Raiders week, everybody.  Time to get loud.
Both pick:  Oakland +8.5

Dallas VS NY Giants (+3)

The word we keep hearing associated with the Cowboys is “desperate”.  Undoubtedly.  They have to win and win a lot or they are as good as done.  ‘Boys fans will wish that they were hosting the 2011 draft instead of the Superbowl.

Both pick:  Dallas -3
