Here’s your stupid Broncos @ Seahawks prediction

Colin D. | September 21, 2014

Will the Broncos help ease our pain by marching into Seattle and winning despite their decided home field advantage?

The Chargers really screwed the Broncos last week. By beating the Seahawks Philip Rivers and Co. not only kept themselves from starting their season 0-2, they insured that Seattle would be extra fired up to host the Broncos this week.

Super Bowl memories aside, the week three tilt between the Broncos and Seahawks isn’t super critical for either team from a wins-and-losses point of view. But Seattle is looking to keep pace in their division and the Broncos wish to prove that the changes they made in the off-season will result in greater success on the field versus the best the NFC has to offer.

The Broncos will struggle to run the ball today. Luckily, Seattle will, too. Look for this one to come down to quarterbacks and defenses. I am projecting a fairly low scoring game today, though, in the Pacific Northwest.

Russell Wilson’s mobility should be Denver’s chief concern. On a day when the Broncos’ secondary should play well, Wilson’s ability to create with his feet will cause problems. If Alex Smith can run on the Broncos Wilson certainly can, too.

As much as I would love to project a Denver win I have this one in the “L” column for the Orange and Blue, 27-23 Seattle.
