In order to clear space on their roster for the world-beating Jeff Francis, the Rockies have dusted off the phrase “designated for assignment”.
Esmile Rogers is the goner this time. The phrase was last used on Jamie Moyer who is not with an Orioles minor league team.
The Rockies have ten days to either trade Rogers or release him. Blah, Blah, Blah.
