The Raiders new mascot is super lame. Al Davis must be spinning.
You hate the Raiders. I hate the Raiders. We all hate the Raiders and the last thing we would admit is that we actually care about the heritage of the franchise or the purity of it’s insipid image, but the last thing the Raiders needed was this.
The “Raider Rusher”, adapted from a children’s show called “NFL Rush”, is an obvious merchandizing scheme and an absolute embarrassment. Al Davis would never have allowed this cutesy abortion to represent his football team in any way.
It would be one thing if the Raiders were winning Championships, but they are terrible – and have been for a decade. They are having trouble even avoiding TV blackouts at their home stadium. Why water down the Raiders with a lame mascot now?
Let’s just hope that giant foam head can absorb the impact of a D battery, because it will doubtlessly be peppered in the blech hole.
