True love forever: Kyle Shanahan and Chris Simms have each other tattoos.
A former Broncos assistant coach and a former Broncos QB have more in common than their shared affiliation with Denver – and with the fact that their fathers were both well known in the NFL. The two one-time Texas Longhorns famously have each others initials tattooed on their lower legs.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Simms is currently a broadcaster with Fox Sports. Shanahan, of course, works for the Houston Texans. The two are very close friends who met in Austin. Simms played for the Longhorns from 1999 to 2002. Shanahan was one of Simms’ “receivers” on that team. The two “hooked up” often enough to become life like “bros” and they have the ink to prove it.
It’s not something they like to discuss.
