Say goodbye to Raphael Betancourt and his glorious dong
Rockies reliever Raphael Betancourt has probably reached the end of the road as a pitcher. The eleven year vet has a bum shoulder and it looks as though he will require Tommy Johns surgery to fix it. He has said that he will retire if that’s the case.
So…we have probably seen the last of him in … and out of a Rockies uniform.
In looking back on his oustanding career we are reminded of the night two years ago when one of our favorite Twitter follows, @CherylTweedy captured the moment when Betancourt’s majestic dong waggled across our TV screens. It was magical.
