Miami wants more Birdman
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports that the Miami Heat are offering former Nugget Chris “Birdman” Andersen a second ten-day contract. The Heat signed Bird, uh, ten days ago.
Apparently they’ve seen enough value to bring him back for more. Great news for a guy who’s had his fair share of struggles, including a scandal involving child porn allegations that appear to have been inaccurate.
Birdman has been missed in Denver. Kids loved him. He was also one player who never seemed to resent playing for a “small market team” like the Nuggets. In fact, he seemed to like it here. Although, some people who met him said he could be kind of a prick.
