It’s time for Reidy and Colin to move on to week 11 in our annual NFL pickoff VS the spread.  We’re off to a heck of a start already, you guys.  Reidy and Colin both had the Broncos covering the early line of Jets -4.  That line swelled to 6 by game time.  Well, we all know how that turned out.  The fellahs enter this week jostling for victory.  Colin is hanging on to a 2 game lead, 70-68-5 to 68-70-5.  Here’s how the fellahs see it playing out in this, the last week with teams on a bye.

Heading into week 7 Colin held a one game lead over Reidy.  Reidy picked .500, going 6-6-1 this week while Colin did far worse.  He picked 3 right, 9 wrong and had 1 draw.  He lost his lead.  Reidy is now 47-49-5 on the season while Colin is 45-51-5, two games behind.  How quickly things can change in the NFL.  Right, Felix Jones?   

Resident sports-journalist and muckraker John Reidy, believes that the NBA is handing Hocky a golden opportunity as he discusses in this weeks edition of Jock Itch, Reidy's weekly column over at the AV Club Denver/ Boulder:

"If one league’s labor strife is another league’s windfall, the NHL is primed for a comeback. Your Colorado Avalanche is doing its part to win back your attention in a state that needs something—anything—to cheer about."

"No one is truly happy to watch a proud tradition like NBA basketball go down the drain, but if the focus comes squarely back on to the NHL, the fans will take it."
